LIM week 112 - Beads

Less is More challenge this week is to use beads! My first reaction was to sit this one out! Then I had a lightbulb moment and thought I could use the micro beads I bought before Christmas and never opened. And oh my gosh they really are micro!! I decided to use the sketch from Seize the Birthday as well.  It's not often I manage to combine challenges.

I cut a piece of Stampin' Up's Sunshine and Sprinkles paper and covered it with an adhesive sheet then mounted it onto some silver card. Now for the beads - I tipped some into a plastic box and put the card in pressing the beads well into the adhesive sheet. They give a bit of a sparkle and soften the colours a bit.
I added a matching flower from my stash then rembered I also had sone Beadazzles and one tub had the perfect colours to go with the paper. A dollop of Crystal Effects and a sprinkling of the Beadazzles in the centre if the flower was the final touch. I hope you can see the beads on these photos!

I've just realised as I'm writing this that I've forgotten to put the sentiment on  to fit the Seize the Birthday challenge. Off to the craft room!
And here it is  finally finished. Off to link up now!

Seize the Birthday No 7

This week the challenge is for a feminine card using this sketch.

I used some Stampin' Up paper from the Amore range which I thought went beautifully with this month's Little Claire designs club stamp set. It has this beautiful tree in it, which was great fun to colour in with promarkers.

I'm sorry the photo is rubbish but it was the best of a very bad bunch! I'm seriously thinking of either making or buying a photo box to see if I can get better results!

Pink Poppies

Poppies are one of my favourite flowers and when I saw this SU stamp

I knew I had to have it even though I have other poppies stamps. You can get it HERE if you too like it. I was surprised by how big it is! This card shows only one small part of it.

I inked it up with my SU markers then filled in with a lighter pink giving it a slight watercolour effect.  Cut out with a Spellbinders die which I inked with Tattered Rose distress ink.The papers are from an old 6 x 6 K & Co pad.The flowers are also made from the paper using a small Spellbinders flower die (Itty Bitty Blossoms I think). I followed the sketch from Seize the Birthday challenge.
