When I made these cards I also made two yellow ones. The first uses SU Flower Patch stamp set and the second flowers from my stash.
I am still not crafting but still have a few things to blog in due course.
Roy is still in hospital and will be there for a few weeks yet I think. His hand has been sutured now so that is slightly more comfortable. There was no infection in it bu they had to operate to make sure after it had swollen up so suddenly and alarmingly. Apparently it was caused by damage to the nerves where he had been lying on it for so long when he was on the floor. he's got no movement in it but I'm told that will come back but will take months to get full movement back. He's still being treated with antivirals and antibiotics for the encephalitis, and I gather that will also go on for quite a long time. Meanwhile it has made us both rethink our future plans and priorities!
Oh WOW! I love making trifold cards and this one is just stunning. Love the colour combination.
ReplyDeleteI hope Roy makes a speedy recovery. It must be a difficult time for you. xx
Two really gorgeous cards Sue, love the shape and those stunning flowers.
ReplyDeleteLets hope the recovery is quicker than they think and I am not surprised that you are going to rethink your future plans and priorities, all the best to you both.

Loving your tri-fold cards Sue.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a Roy's in for a long haul . . .but that full recovery should be made. Thinking of you both as it will be tricky for each of you in different ways.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Hi Sue, Thanks for your visit & lovely comment. So sorry to hear that your DH is dealing with some bad stuff just now, and hope that all soon mends smoothly and he can get back to whatever is normal. This is always so distressing, isn't it? Easier when it is our own ills to deal with I think. This is a most impressive card. Love the die flowers - such cheerful colors. Blue & yellow just is always so cheery I think. The folds impress me no end, since I've never done a card so complex. It's just beautiful. Sending good wishes to both of you. TFS & Hugs too.
ReplyDeleteOh Sue, what a life changing experience. I hope Roy can recover his full range of movement in his hand. This is a long road you both will be on but patience seems to be the key here. It sounds like there are a lot of meds for him but also that they are helping him. Keep up your spirits. I am crazy about these cards. The color combo is one of my favorites and I love all those folds.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous. I have always wanted to try this fold.
ReplyDeleteThey look so lovely with beautiful colours too!
