A Bit Later Than Intended

I fully intended to post again last week after my valentine card but time seemed to run away from me. Anyway better late than never, so here are my latest paintings.

This one was following a tutorial by Rebecca de Mendonca with a view of Dartmoor.

The second was also a tutorial from Rebecca . Both were done using Unison soft pastels.

The third one is watercolour done on a Zoom workshop with Alison C Board.

Hope you like them! I need to get them mounted and framed now but they all have to be made specially as I still haven't managed to paint anything standard size!

Ruby!

This is the latest pastel painting done in another workshop with Unison Pastels and Emma Colbert. When I started I thought I might be biting off more than I could chew, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as difficult as I had thought it would be.

The reference photo was a picture of Emma's mother's dog - Ruby - which I think is a Maltese Terrier.

This one is now on the wall in my craft room. Actually I think it looks a bit like Di's Dudley!

Lilies

There's not been much card making going on here recently as I have been doing some art workshops and I have so much stuff out there's little room left. So I thought I'd show you some of the pictures I've done - well only the ones that are fit to be seen!

This one was a workshop arranged by Unison Pastels and led by Cathy Pearce. It was only my second time using soft pastels which I love, even though they can be incredibly messy.

In fact I thought I was going to have to buy a new bedroom carpet when I did this one!. The bright orange pastel crumbled and unbeknown to me a tiny bit had got onto my sandals underneath the sole of my foot. Later when I went to shower I walked across a pale green carpet in bare feet - leaving bright orange footprints.Fortunately I managed to get it off with soapy water as I don't think Roy would have been impressed. He did like the picture though and it is now framed and hanging on our bedroom wall.
