Triple Time Stamping at Cardz 4 Guyz

It's my turn to choose the challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz this week and I have chosen theTriple Time stamping technique or Triple Mat technique. There are lots of samples on Pinterest and Splitcoast Stampers if you're unfamiliar with the technique.

I used the SU Traveller set in shades of blue with a central pop of red for the ship. in the past I have popped the layers up on foam pads but I kept this one flat for easier posting.

Make sure you check out the great inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.

Make My Monday - Vacation

Good morning everyone. It's time for a new challenge at Make My Monday and this week it's my turn to choose the theme. As we are just at the start of the school holidays it's that time of year when everyone is setting off for a few days - or longer if they're lucky- to recharge their batteries! So my theme is Vacation. So whether it's the beach, a " staycation", or travelling to distant climes the DT want to see your creations. Here's mine:

I really enjoyed creating this and it was so easy with all the new stamp sets. The sea was made using the strip stamp from Work of Art and the sky used the smaller paint splash randomly, stamping off first to give a more subtle effect. The little birds were doodled in after I'd put it all together as I had managed to get a small black smudge just above the ship's mast. On most cards I'd have added a butterfly - but it didn't seem to fit with this card (lol)!! The shells were stamped on snippets and mounted on dimensionals. That means I can go and visit Pixies Snippets Playground where Di always want us to use snippets.

Make My Monday - Mail Art

This week the theme is Postal art and must include a postcard or envelope. Unfortunately I still haven't got round to buying the SU postcard stamp - very remiss of me I know! So I had to make my own. Deep in my stash of stamps  I had the "Postcard" one and the franked stamp. No idea who made them as they have been in my box of clear stamps for years! The line down the middle is from one of the photopolymer stamps that were free recently with a £60 order. I must say it stamped beautifully so I'm looking forward to getting some of the new photopolymer stamps soon! The suitcase and passport are from the new Traveller set and the paper is from the Moonlight stack.
