Watercolour Wings Birthday

I think I'm a bit like a London bus, nothing for ages then two come along! It's my friend's birthday on Valentine's Day and I always find it difficult to know what to get her. Toiletries are out as she has usually just given me some, and flowers are definitely out as her house always looks like a florists on her birthday!  So this year I decided to have a go at making a picture. When I visited my son last year my DIL had bought a picture which was a row of butterflies in a long white box frame, and at the time I said I could have made it!  I couldn't find a long box frame but instead bought an 8" x 8" one from Hobbycraft.

My first attempt only had 4 butterflies but it looked too naked so decided on 6 . I was really rather pleased with it so hope she likes it!
I'm going to take this over to the Playground as it used up quite a few snippets of white card, and also over to Mrs A's Butterfly challenge where she wants to see inks used.

Matching Butterfly Birthday

This is the matching card I made to go with the present I showed in a previous post. Again I used Watercolour Wings for the big butterfly. The small ones are from the Perpetual Calendar set, the background is from You Got It and the leaf from Butterfly Basics.

and here are the two together.
