Digitally Sweet #111 - Steampunk!!

The challenge over at Digitally Sweet this week is "Steampunk"!  Once again Lunagirl has sponsored us and provided some lovely images.

I have eventually produced a card after a few false starts! This was SO out of my comfort zone! I'm afraid I don't really understanf Steampunk at all - it must be my age (lol!) As usual I created it in Craft Artist 2 using some Daisytrail steampunk digikits.

Digitally Sweet #109 - My hero!

The challenge this week at Digitally Sweet is "My Hero!" it could be a friend, a member of your famile, a pet etc. We are once again sponsored by Bugaboo and I chose Super Dad to use.

I think Dad's are  heroes to lots of people - mine certainly was !  So let's see your creations this week of someone who is your hero. I created this in Craft Artist 2 using a Daisy Trail Kit - Comic Book.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #108 Lots of Flowers

Welcome to a newchallenge at Digitally Sweet and this week the sponsor is Lacy Sunshine.
The challenge is "Lots of Flowers"

I used Flower Pot Pretties Sunny as I always associate sunflowers with late summer/early autumn. Rather than add lots of flower embellishments I decided to be a bit more subtle and used a digital embossing folder of sunflowers on my background. As usual it was created in Craft Artist 2. I did colour the image with Copics then scanned it back into the computer to add it it to my digital card.

Digitally Sweet #107 Musical

Hello and welcome to a newchallenge at Digitally Sweet, and this week the theme is "Musical". We are sponsored by Bugaboo Digi Stamps.

I have used "Just a Note 2"  and made it into a Christmas card. The card is all digital created in Craft Artist 2. It's a little bit difficule to see on here but the centre circle is embossed with a holly wreath and a Merry Christmas sentiment in the middle using the Digiboss digikits from Daisytrail.

Digitally Sweet - Charming

Its Friday and there's a new challenge at Digitally Sweet. This week the sponsor is Lacy Sunshine. I have used " Abby Mending a Broken Heart". The challenge is to use a charm on your project.

I coloured the image with Copics then scanned it back into the computer. As usual I then created this in Craft Artist. I cherry-picked the elements from a number of Daisy Trail kits. I'm afraid I'm a bit late posting this again. I thought I'd got over the bug I had but woke up this morning feeling pretty awful again. Just hope it goes soon!

Digitally Sweet Challenge #102 - For the Guys

Well here we are at Friday again - these weeks are really going fast! A new challenge at Digitally Sweet and it's "For the Guys" ! The sponsor is Stitchy Bear who supplied this great image. I decided to leave it uncoloured. It also reminded me of a movie poster so I went with that theme.

The elements used are from the Daisytrail "At the Movies" digikit and as (almost) always it was created in Craft Artist 2.

Digitally Sweet #101 - Poinsettia

It's Friday again and time for a new challenge at Digitally Sweet.  The challenge is a recipe!  1 image, 2 papers(either digital or real) and 3 different embellishments. The sponsor this week is Sparkle and Sprinkle. As I chose their Poinsettia digistamp to work with I had to make a Christmas card!

The poinsettia is digitally coloured and the whole card is 100% digital. To make sure I had 3 different embellishments I turned the sentiment into a sticker - the other two are the holly and gold ribbon. As usual I used Craft Artist 2 to create this and the elements came from a variety of digikits.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #99 - Favourite Colours

This weeks challenge at Digitally Sweet is to use your favourite colours. I don't really have a favourite - it all depends on the mood I'm in, the season, the weather - anything can make me change my mind!  The sponsor this week is Bugaboo and I  chose to work with Silhouette Butterfly Flowers. So this influenced my choice of colours. Lots of butterflies are orange coloured  and it's summer so hot colours seem to be in order.

As usual I have created it in Craft Artist 2 and used elements from a variety of digikits.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #98 - Embellish it up!

Here we are at Friday again which means it's time for a new challenge over at Digitally Sweet. The theme this week is "Embellish it up" and we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear.

I have used their Flights of Fantasy image and the background is from BBKakes Nightsky pack. The other embellishments are from various digikits and the whole thing was created in Craft Artist 2. Short and sweet post from me today as not feeling 100%.

Digitallly Sweet Challenge #95 - Holiday/Vacation

Happy Independence Day to all my readers across the pond!

When I picked the theme for this week's challenge at Digitally Sweet I was thinking of long summer holidays! The sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine and I have used the fun image "Eleanor and Pickles Digging Clams"

As usual I have created the card in Craft Artist 2. The background and embellishments were made from the "Life's a Beach" digikit. For once I've only used one kit so can remember what its called! The stamp was coloured with Promarkers then added with dimensionals as were the towel and the July banner. IRL the colours are a lot brighter but my camera seems to have softened them. I used liquid pearls to add the pearl in the open clam and glossy accents for the glasses and mask. Go visit Digitally Sweet and check out what the rest of the Design Team have done, and we'd love to see what you make as well. Don't forget that it doesn't have to be 100% digital - just something digital on it - but we'd love it if it was.

Digitally Sweet #94 - Inspired by a Favourite Book

Hi and welcome to another challenge at Digitally Sweet where this week the challenge is "Inspired by a Favourite Book" The sponsor is Bugaboo and I have used Fun Flowers. Now when I originally chose this image I had a book in mind , but after a few sleeps and a holiday I couldn't remember what it was!

Fortunately I have just started reading The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton and the image suited it perfectly with the addition of some elements from a couple of Daisy Trail kits. As usual I created it in Craft Artist 2.

After I had blogged my last post I noticed that I have some new followers, sorry I didn't notice earlier -so welcome-
and I hope you enjoy reading my posts and maybe getting a bit of inspiration as well.

Leaving Card

I was asked by OH to make another personalised leaving card! I think making this one for him  has set a precedent! It had to have a car on it again and a reference to Kidderminster!

So Craft Artist to the rescue again! This time I printed a map with Kidderminster on, scanned it and took it into Craft Artist. The car and arrow were from Daisy Trail digikits. I added a metal effect to the arrow and printed the page out. Then matted it onto red cardstock. The car was fussy cut and mounted with foam pads and the sentiment was a Sizzix alphabet.

I coloured him digitally and then added him to a background made in Craft Artist. All the other elements and background papers are from Daisy Trail digikits. Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's creations.

Digitally Sweet # 90 Friendship

Goodness here we are at Friday again! The weeks just seem to be flying by!!  The theme this week at Digitally Sweet is "Friendship" We are also sponsored by Sparkle and Sprinkle a new sponsor for us.

I used a pretty Dahlia image.I coloured the middle one in  Craft Artist 2 using a "dry sponge"brush  then just duplicated it and changed the colour for the other two.   The vase, leaves and background are all elements from various digikits I have. We'd ove to see you join us this week - remember your creation only had to have something digital on it although we'd love it if you went 100% digital!

Digitally Sweet Chalenge # 89 - Babies

Welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet and after Mothers a couple of weeks ago we have Babies this week!  We are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet who provided some lovely images and papers to work with. The one I chose to use is called A Mother's Love by Delicious Doodles and seems to have been very popular with the DT!

I also used one of the papers from The Sweet Things pack by Panda Bear Designs which had soft diagonal pastel stripes. When I changed the colour to blue though the stripes disappeared! I used the  main image in the background as well but faded it right out. For the focal point  I used the gradient maps tool in Craft Artist 2 as I didn't want to colour the image in because I liked it as it was, just needed to change the colour of fthe lines.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #88 - Blue, yellow and White

Welcome to Digitally Sweet Challenge #88 where we are asking you to use blue, yellow and white on your creations. We are sponsored by Bugaboo. I have used an image called AKV Slide which I thought was a great embellishment for my layout.

We had a trip to Birdworld when my grandsons came to visit during the Easter holidays, the journalling says it all!!  The image was coloured digitally and the page was created as usual in Craft Artist 2 using elements from various digikits including a Digiboss one for the embossed background.

Digitally Sweet Challeng #85

This week the challenge at Digitally Sweet is Bingo! and we are sponsored by Stitchy Bear.

I used the middle vertical line and my "free" square I used for the butterfly. As always I used Craft Artist to create the project. The papers are  Panda Bear Designs   Butterfly Paper Pack and the main image is Delicious Doodles - Lillith. She seems to have been very popular with my fellow DT members as well.

Unfortunately I have no idea how I coloured her! I took the image into the photolab part of CA and played around with filters and special effects and when I got this I stopped as I rather liked it. I'm going to have to play again and see if I can achieve the same result.  If I manage it I'll edit this post to tell you.!
