Fast and Flighty!!

Cardz4 Guyz are asking for cards with a theme using the letter F.  Fish seemed to be the favourite option of the design team and I have to say that was the first thing I thought of.
Then I remembered the SU stamp set Need For Speed that I bought for the plane to make a card for my son who is in the RAF. It was time to get it inked up again.

I found some cloudy background paper from a 6 x6 pad, no idea what make it is, and a curly sentiment banner from my stash, and mounted that on a snippet of dark grey card. I stamped and coloured 3 planes and fussy cut them and mounted them with foam squares.  I'm taking this over to the Playground as well, need to see if Miss has got the paddling pool out!

Dynamic Duos - Black Tie

I have been playing with my blog design and have decided to go for a cleaner look! What do you think?

Then it was time for some  crafting. Dynamic Duo's challenge is Black Tie week and the colours are black and grey with a masculine dessert option.  Now black and grey said men's cards to me anyway.

I wasn't quite sure where I was going with this so I started off by stamping the white car  then a black car and then it all seemed to just fall into place!

Cardstock: basic Black, Whisper White, Crumb Cake
DSP: Neutrals block
Stamps: Need for Speed, Bring on the Cake
Ink: Whisper White, Basic Black
Other: White embossing powder

Need for speed

Hello bloggers! At last I have managed to do some crafting although did find it difficult to use some of the tools! I was tasked by OH to make a card for s frind who used to be in the RAF (many years ago!). The "Need for Speed" stamp set immediately came to mindand I thought it would be nice to incorporate the RAF roundels as well. This is what I eventually came up with. I stamped the plane again and mounted it on dimensionals on the bottom one to add some interest.
I also decided to decorate the inside instead of just putting " Happy Birthday"

I produced this in Craft Artist. I added a wavy line from the plane to the words so that it looked as though they had been written by the trails from the plane. ThenImounted it on some red card to finish it off. I hope he likes it!

Birthday Tornadoes!

Today I am showing a card I made for my son's birthday. I made it some time ago but had to wait till I knew he'd seen it before showing it on here. I'm not sure whether he reads this or even knows I blog!!

Now I have to admit that I "cased" this from a card shown on ILWS by a fellow demo - but added some more jets  and different sentiment stamps. The stamp sets used are Need for Speed and Curly Cute.
