Another Two by Two!

After my last post I thought I'd better make a more feminine version - just in case she has a girl! It took me all of Sunday to make it though as I seem to have been suffering from some sort of bug - felt very off balance when I moved around, and a bit cold even though the house was really quite warm!

Again I'm using retired stuff - even the ribbon this time!

I wanted to use the cloud embossing folder but the clouds went the wrong way and they were impossible to match up so used the Fancy Fan EF instead which matches the pattern on the paper.  I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for the layout.  The paper was from my snippets box again so I'm going to have another go on the swings at the Playground. I'm also going to enter at SUO Challenge where the theme is "Welcome Baby" . How opportune is that?

Sketch Saturday- Week 257

It's a very long time since I joined in with the Sketch Saturday challenge but this week I 've had a go!

The strips of paper are out of my snippets box so I'm also taking this to Pixie's Playground, always a fun place to visit! the blue card is also a large snippet as I originally cut it for another project entirely which didn't work, so I was left with a lot of blue snippets! The stamp was a freebie on a magazine quite a long time ago!

Patchwork Elephant

The Simon Says Challenge has changed to weekly instead of fortnightly so had to get a move on this week The theme is "One for the Boys". Now the card I did last week would have fitted this perfectly but thought I'd better do another. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday which fitted it nicely. The image is from Pollycrafts and also fits in with the challenge on Papertake Weekly which is to feature Animals - so three challenges in one- how cool is that! The papers are from Papermania and this is my first go at colouring with Copics.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

It's a long time since I did a challenge. Decided to enter this one while I was playing with a new stamp and papers from Crafty Individuals.
So here's my entry to this week's Sketch Saturday.

Orange Flower Card

This is my design for Sketch Saturday's challenge. I have used papers from my stash which were free in various magazines. The flowers and sentiment were made using the Quickutz Revolution. The scalloped edge was made from some self adhesive paper lace . The card stovk is actually a pale creamy yellow rather than the beige in the photo.

Sketch Saturday Challenge 7

As I had all my oriental stuff out thought I'd continue with the theme for the Sketch Saturday challenge. This is the result. Unfortunately I have made it opening on the left hand side in true oriental fashion! Might have to mount it on another card before I post it to partner's brother. I don't want to confuse him too much!!

New Challenge Site

I have packed all my craft things away as I need the dining room table for its proper purpose for the next couple of weeks, so decided to have a browse through some of my favourite blogs. While doing a bit of hopping around I found this new challenge site - Sketch Saturday. So far it has only 2 sketches on but I really like having one to follow so intend to use it when I'm back crafting again. Why don't you take a look?
