House Mouse For Rudolph Day

I'm just managing to squeeze into the last Rudolph Day challenge by the skin of my teeth. Sadly Maureen has decided to close the blog due to health issues. Thank you Maureen for keeping it going for so long and all the best for your "challenge retirement".

I decided to use a House Mouse stamp that hasn't seen a lot of ink since I bought it.

The paper was a freebie from years ago but I thought it went well with the stamp. I edged it with some even older peel off borders. I'm on aa bit of a mission to use up some of my stash.

Autumn Colours

There's lots of autumn or fall challenges around at the moment and here at Make My Monday we're joining in! We would like to see your makes using autumn colours. I have used yet another NBUS stamp. This time a House Mouse one, and for a change I coloured it using Spectrum Noir blending pencils.

It took quite a while to colour but it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Then I fussy cut him. I stamped the image again on a piece of white card then die cut a square chopping off part of the leaf. I stuck the cut ot image on top so that he looked like he was floating of the edge. The little sprinkles are Champagne Glass - another NBUS item!

Make sure you check out the rest of the inspiration on the challenge blog.

House Mouse and Heat Embossing

Until last week I only had one House Mouse stamp! Then I saw the new slapstick ones released by Stampendous and one or two (lol) fell into my basket!

This is the first one I have played with. I coloured the image with Distress Markers and edged the die cut shape with a gold Krylon pen. The paper is from my stash but I think was Papermania from a couple of years ago. The holly on it really is green IRL but quite muted. I finished it off with a holly vine die cut from Memory Box, some shimmery ribbon and a little bit of Dazzling Details on the holly leaves. Oh and where is the heat embossing I hear you ask - well it is on the berries on the image, but couldn't get it it to show up in the photos and I took loads! So you'll just have to take my word for it! I am entering this into the House Mouse challenge of course and as the holly was cut from a snippet I'm going to see what everyone is up to in the Playground!

Springtime House Mouse

This is not a challenge I usually participate in because this is the only House Mouse stamp I have. And (shock- horror!) it has seen ink for the first time this week and I must have had it for at least 5 years!

I inked it in Versafine Smoky Grey as I wanted a soft look to itand watercoloured it with distress inks, the paper is some from a Hot of the Press pad that I've had probably for as long as the stamp! The pale colours look quite pretty but really don't show up well in the photo.
