It's time for another challenge at The Male Room and this week we are asking for Leaves and Trees. I decided to use this lovely tree from the Lovely as a Tree set. Although I've used the set a few times I haven't used this particular tree before.
I used two shades of green on the stamp - Always Artichoke and Gumball Green - which gave the impression of light and shade on the leaves. I stamped the small leaf in the set onto Always Artichoke cardstock and cut them out and dded them to the corner with a matching candy dot. The paper is chocolate chip from the neutrals paper stack. I made this a while ago and can't remember what stamp I used for the sentiment but it is probably Teeny Tiny Wishes, cut out with the word window punch and mounted on a banner cut with the Itty Bitty Banners set. Don't forget to go and see the lovely makes from our DT.

The Male Room - Give us a Giggle!
This week in The Male Room the challenge is called "Give us a Giggle" so we are looking for humorous cards. I made this one earlier this month for my OH's birthday. I thought it very suitable as he is a big cheese eater!
I used some Crushed Curry cardstock with the Adorning Accents Edgelits for the scallop edging. The faux stitched circle is non- SU as is the turquoise paper . The stamp set is Giggle Greetings, which I actually bought for the cat stamp in it and have still to use and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

The Male Room Challenge - Retirement
It was lovely to see so many entries for our Valentine challenge in The Male Room. This time the theme is retirement and I knew I had the perfect stamp for it. (Non SU I'm afraid!) However the papers and punches are! I really liked the soft colour of this paper. A banner with the sentiment threaded on it finished it off.
For more inspiration check out my team mates blogs and we look forward to seeing you in The Male Room.
You can order from my online shop at anytime or email if you prefer the personal touch .
Recipe:
DSP: Sweet Sorbet (a sale-a-Bration item)
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes (sentiment), Banner Blast (banners), Non SU image
Misc: Banner Blast punch (a sale-a-Bration item), Modern Label punch, white Bakers Twine

Spect-acular card!
I was excited last week to be a Dynamic Darling with this card. Thank you ladies!
This week the challenge at Dynamic Duos is to use Basic Grey and one other colour. I chose Real Red. The stamp is one of the single stamps that Stampin' Up! are offerring called Spect-acular.
I was very pleased when we got this stamp in the UK as I had admired a lot of cards in Blogland that had been made with it when it came out in the US. I highlighted one pair of specs by colouring them red and adding Crystal Effects to the lenses. I have used the sketch from this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches and quite a lot of snippets (all the red card!) so will go for a play at the Playground as well. It must be my turn on the slide now!!
Recipe:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Readl Red
DSP: Basic grey paper stack (just retired)
Stamps: Spect- acular single stamp, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Markers: Real Red, Basic Grey
Other: Ribbon border punch, Jewellry tag punch (retired) card candy(non SU from stash)

LIM week 118 - Colour Challenge
This week there is a colour challenge at Less is More " This month we would like you to choose TWO opposite colours from this Colour Wheel"
I opted for blue-green and red-orange so I hope Island Indigo and Calypso Coral fit the bill!
I added some paper piercing to add a bit of interest to the oval which was stamped with the Oh Hello stamp set. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Pink and Girly
The Dynamic Duo challenge this week is monochromatic pinks. So the card had to be "girly" didn't it?
I started off with a Pretty in Pink card base then I embossed a piece of white card with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder and lightly ran a Regal Rose ink pad over it to highlight the flowers, mounted it onto Crumb Cake and added some seam binding. The patterned oval was stamped with Regal Rose and mounted on Pretty in Pink oval. The flowers were stamped in pretty in Pink and Regal Rose and the small flower was stamped onto the butterfly wings. A doily and some pearls finished it off.
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Stamp sets: Oh Hello, Everything Eleanor, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Crumb Cake
Other: Crumb Cake seam binding, Pearls, Elegant Butterfly punch, Bitty Butterfly punch, Paper doilies, Word Window punch, Petals-a-Plenty EF.

Merry Monday Challenge
In keeping with my plan to enter some different challenges this year and to build up a stock of Christmas cards I have made this card for the Merry Monday challenge. This week they have a sketch:
and this is what I made and includes a sneak peak of something from the new Spring/Summer catalogue:
The lacy mat is from a little envelope of goodies someone sent me - so I have no idea what die/punch it is, but it was just the right size.

Stampin' Write markers: Pool Party, Real Red, Chocolate Chip, Early Espresso
Stamp Sets: Four Seasons (hostess set) Teeny Tiny wishes

More Joyous Celebrations (definitely the last!)
This post was scheduled to be published on Wednesday but for some reason didn't appear - so it's a couple of days late!
Today I have got another two cards using the Joyous Celebrations set, this time using the tree. For both I have used the new Gumball Green, which I am likng a lot. I diecut the tag and to get the green one longer than the white one I just cut it in half to extend it.
The second card is really just a variation . A different sentiment and a small bow.
Stamp sets: Joyous Celebrations, Teeny Tiny Wishes (now called teeny Tiny Sentiments), Curly Cute
Cardstock: Whisper white, Gumball green
Inks: Gumball Green
Misc: Holiday Frame embossing folder, Bitty banners framelits, large oval punch, stitched satin ribbon

Bordering on Romance
This is one of the new stamp sets in the summer mini which I have used for the first time. It is coloured with the SU markers in Riding Hood Red, Pear Pizazz and Marina Mist (it should have been Baja Breeze but I yhought it need something a little deeper). The papers are from the Twitterpated DSP, I used the framelits to cut them out and added the new pleated satin ribbon also from the summer mini. The sentiment is Teeny Tiny wishes stamped out with the word window punch, mounted on red cut with the modern label punch. Three rhinestones on the ribbon and faux stitching around the image finished it off.
