Digitally Sweet Challenge # 80

Hello and welcome to another Digitally Sweet challenge. Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine  and the challenge is  'Want to be a star'    Add stars to your project or perhaps you know someone who is going to win some kind of feat...exp. tying shoe laces correctly! LOL!

I have made a card using 'Emily - Graduate'. I made the background by playing around with the Fill Colour tool in Craft Artist.  Emily was digitally painted and I added the sentiment and stars which were some digikit elements. Not sure which ones as I was cherry- picking from all the kits  I have.

Digitally Sweet #79 Black and White and One Other Colour

Welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet and this week the challenge is Black and White and one other colour.  We are sponsored by Lunagirl who has produced some fabulous images for us to work with.  I chose some snowdrops and a gorgeous brightly coloured butterfly.

I used the image faded out on the background paper which is from a Daisy Trail digikit (sorry can't remember which one now - I should write these posts as soon as I've finished creating instead of later !). I made the paper more transparent too.  Mounted the image onto a green circle matted with black and added the butterflies (all done digitally). I thought it would make a nice Mother's Day card even though I no longer have a mother to give it too. (Mind you she would have hated it as she was very superstitious about the colour green and wouldn't have it in the house if she could help it. She did have to come to terms with it a bit though as my last school had a green uniform - which I hated as well!)

Digitally Sweet Challenge #78

This week at Digitally Sweet we have a photo to inspire you.
  Linked to www.apple.com

I took it rather literally and went for multi coloured balloons and a bright sentiment.

Now normally do all my digital creating in CraftArtist 2 but as I also have Stampin' Up!'s  MDS I thought it was time I tried to get to grips with it. I suppose because I'm used to how Craft Artist works I have struggled a bit with MDS as it works differently. I do like the fact that you can colour the stamps as though with a marker pen  as in the sentiment I used above.  As it is above it is 100% digital and if I just printed it off would be a flat card. However it lends itself to being printed multiple times and decoupaging the balloons and present up.

Don't forget to visit the challenge and look at all the other inspiration there and come and join in. We'd love to see your digital creations.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #77 - Anything Goes

Today we have everyone's favourite challenge - " Anything Goes" over at Digitally Sweet - and a new sponsor - Broken Box. The DT had some great images to work with. I picked  Baker Toodle and coloured her in using my Wacom graphics tablet.

As usual I created this in Craft Artist 2 and used a daisytrail kit called Farmhouse for the other elements.

Digitally Sweet Challenge #76 - colour inspiration

Hello and welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet and this week we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine and have a gorgeous co;our palette for you to follow.

And here is what I made  - eventually!

I used Emily Street Urchin as my image and made a card using a Daisy Trail kit then realised I had completely forgotten to follow the colour inspiration - doh! I was really pleased with it too so tried recolouring within the programme but it was not a success, so I started again - which really meant I only had to change the background and embellishments . So the above is the correct one for the challenge and below is the wrong one!

I still like the wrong one best! Not sure what the two grey lines are above and below this pic! Yes I do it is actually the edge of the white card base which is not showing up!

Digitally Sweet Challenge #74

This week we have an anything goes challenge with an option of following the  layout of the card above.  Digi Darla is sponsoring us so do go and check the great range of digistamps. I picked "Soldier Boy" and flipped the layout.

I digitally paper pieced and painted him - loving using my new graphics tablet for this - so much easier than using the mouse!! I also used a Daisy Trail kit called Commando.Don't think I'd better give this card to my son though as he's in the RAF(lol)!

Digitally Sweet Challenge # 73

Welcome to this week's challenge at Digitally Sweet. We are sponsored by Digi Darla and I have chosen to use the precoloured version of Love Bug. This could be for an anniversary or Valentine's Day. It seems a bit early for Valentine's even though Blogland seems to be awash with them.

I used a digikit called Butterfly Kisses from Kreative by Karen  and Craft Artist 2 to make my card. Over here in the UK we only send to our partner/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/wife  or someone we hope will become one of those!  We follow the traditional association of the day as described in Wikipedia:-

The day was first associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards.[6]

Digitally Sweet # 72

Hello and welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet and another "Anything Goes" challenge which seem to be very popular!

The weather here has been so grey and wet just recently with lots of flooding that I  decided to remind myself of what this time last year was like! Not sure which I prefer! As always the page was created with Craft Artist and I have used elements and papers from a number of different kits.

Digitally Sweet #71 - Polly Poinsettia

Hello and welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet. Gosh this month seems to be flying by!The sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine Stamps. I think I was still in Christmas mode when I picked this image called Polly Poinsettia  but never mind - it just means I'm ahead on this year's cards!

I created this card front as usual in Craft Artist and used a kit from Daisy Trail called Paper Poinsettia.

Last week we had a new DT member Annie join us but I didn't welcome her to the team then as I schedule these posts- otherwise they would never go up at the right time!! So I'd like to give a big welcome to Annie now. Why not pop over and visit her blog where she has lots of great things to see.

Digitally Sweet #70

Welcome to another "Anything Goes" challenge at Digitally Sweet. Once again we are sponsored by Lunagirl and I chose to work with this image. It reminds me of a Jack Vettriano painting !

I decided to go for a more CAS style as nothing else seemed to work for me! I used Craft Artist as always to create it.

Digitally Sweet # 69

Welcome to this week's challenge at Digitally Sweet. The theme for the whole of January is "Anything Goes" and this week the sponsor is Digi Darla Designs . I have used Cupcake Annie and used a Christmas present to colour her in. My son got me a graphics tablet so this was my first attempt at using it. Far from perfect I know but had fun doing it.

I also used elements from a Daisy Trail kit called Afternoon Tea. I'm sorry I was a bit late commenting on all your lovley entries last week but New Year and a Birthday seemed to get in the way!

I'm sorry but if you are in" Google +" I am unable to leave a comment, much as I want to,  as I am not a member!

Digitally Sweet #68 "Anything Goes"

Welcome to another challenge at Digitally Sweet. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas with lots of scrummy food and pressies and plenty of family fun too. The challenge this week is Anything Goes and is sponsored by Lacy Sunshine.

I have used a digi stamp called "Gnome Bits". I coloured them with Promarkers at card club just before Christmas. Then scanned them and added them to a digital page. I used bits from a number of Daisy Trail kits to create my scene. I hope you like it.

Digitally Sweet #66 Inspired by Frosty the Snowman

Well I got myself totally confused so you nearly got next week's post instead of this one lol! Anyway I've now got my brain sorted and this week's challenge from Digitally Sweet is Inspired by Frosty the Snowman and we are sponsored by Lunagirl who provided

some lovely images for us to work with. I chose to use Christmas Misc 61.

I'm hoping it looks as if Santa is holding it! I used some glittery bits of holly and the Santa from a kit I have by Algera Designs. I added the snowy glittery look to the background by using the effects on Craft Artist. Hope you like it. Must dash now I've still got Christmas cakes to make  and I'm running behind as I went away for four days to visit my middle son and his family as I won't be seeing them at Christmas, and needed a few cuddles from my two little grandsons!

Digitally Sweet Challenge #65

This week at Digitally Sweet we have this picture as inspiration and are sponsored by Digi Darla Designs.

I decided to use the picture as part of my project! I took it into Craft Artist and used the effects to change it into a black and white pencil drawing.  My DD image was a holly sprig which I also took into CA and changed the line colour to green. Then I used the program to turn it into a stamp and stamped  a number of images to make a frame.  The background again used the picture which I faded out and changed the colour to red.

Don't forget to visit the other DTs blogs to see what they have made.

Digitally Sweet # 61

This week we are being sponsored for the first time by Lunagirl and her images are gorgeous. You can spend a lot of time looking at her site- there is just so much to choose from!

 Our Newest Sponsor

There is also a sketch to follow

And this is what I  came up with. There were a number of other versions - all of which I like but eventually stopped here!

I used Craft Artist 2 to create the page and a digikit which was a freebie from somewhere a couple of years ago. It is called Aged Wedding - so if you are the creator please let me know so I can give you credit.

Digitally Sweet #60 Trees and/or Leaves

It is my turn to set the challenges this month over at Digitally Sweet and this week I chose the theme Trees/Leaves. Well it is autumn after all!  We are sponsored once again by Digi Darla Designs and I chose to work with her Acorns and Oakleaves image. Then I had a bit of a problem ! My original idea was to colour the leaves by hand then scan and use but the scanner part of my printer had decided to become disabled and nothing 'I've tried will get it enabled again. No idea why it's done it but I'm not happy about it!! I can only assume that something has updated that has caused the problem! So I did some digital colouring instead  but couldn't get the shaded effect I wanted and I think the oakleaves ended up  looking more like birds or bats!

So I tried something else instead and came up with a card that is more CAS! What do you  think?

Digitally Sweet -

Welcome to another week at Digitally Sweet! with our brand new makeover. The challenge this week is Halloween/Scary and we are sponsored by Template Dreams

I don't think this is very scary except maybe for the blanked out faces (lol)!! I made it with the super new kit for Halloween called "2 Cute 2 Spook. A perfect sentiment for these two lovely little boys!

Digitally Sweet Challenge # 57

Welcome back! This week our challenge at Digitally Sweet is "Your Favourite Colours"  I don't really have any favourites as they change depending on mood and season but I do like blues. We have a new sponsor this week with some really cute images - BigHeadsStamps. Do go and check them out. I have used one called "Luc". He was a delight to colour digitally as there are not too many small fiddly bits. (lol!)

The other bits came from a a few of my Craft Artist digikits - not sure which ones now! And of course it was created in Craft Artist.

Anything with Wings

Welcome to another challenge at Digitally Sweet. This week the theme has been set by Ali and she has asked for "Anything with wings"

We are sponsored by Digi Darla who has some great digis to choose from. I chose to use her Paper Pieced Owl and digitally paper pieced it. It's the first time I have tried this technique. I had a few hiccups on the way - but eventually came up with something that was reasonably OK! Fortunately I had made this well in advance as I have spent most of this week nursing an horrendous cold!!  So you must forgive me if I  haven't commented as much as usual. I'm pleased to say it is now much better - good job as my son is coming for a visit this weekend and I didn't want to pass it on!!

Digitally Sweet Challenge #55

It's time for another challenge at Digitally Sweet where the challenge is again "Anything Goes" and this week the sponsor is Lacy Sunshine . Why not pop over and have a look at the great range of digi images there.

This time I made a card and  used "Amy in New York". I coloured her with Promarkers using colours to match the background. The background paper is from the Daisy Trail digikit Pin-Up Chic. I hope you like it .
