Sun, Sea and Sand.

Here we are with a new challenge at Cardz for Galz. It is my turn to choose the challenge and I have gone with Sun, Sea and Sand. when I picked this I had no idea that Creative Stamping would produce the perfect set of stamps just a few weeks earlier. Needless to say I used them.

I watercoloured the image but made the stupid mistake of doing the background first! So I had to spend some time removing enough colour so that the girl's shoulders were not too blue! I hope you'll find time to join in with us.

Wacky Wheels!

Welcome to the new challenge at Cardz for Guyz and this week we want to see your makes with a theme of Transport.

I used an image from a La Pashe CD, which I cut out and decoupaged. The background paper is from my stash of 6 x 6 papers. I always fancied having a 2CV until I had a ride in one. It was a bit like sitting in a deckchair! Do check out all the other makes on the challenge blog.

We are 100!

Well not literally, but we are at our 100th challenge at Make My Monday. A big thank you to everyone who has joined in and made the challenge a success. To that end we would like to see your thank you cards  this time.

I have used a die that I won ages ago at Pixies Playground, but I'm afraid I can't remember the make. I cut it out of white card mounted onto navy. The paper is a sheet from my over large stock of 6 x 6 papers. So it is now one sheet less! Here's the third of this month's Happy Little Stampers challenges - Christmas.

I seem to be using a lot of Uniko stamps just recently and here is another one.

I stamped the panel in Versamark and embossed it with gold sparkle embossing powder. I added just a touch of colour and mounted it on red before adding it to a 5 x 7 card blank. Hope you'll be able to join in this month as there's only four more challenges to the big day!

It's Party Time!

It's time to party over at Card for Galz to celebrate their 100th challenge. So we want you to create a celebratory/party card.

I used an old SU set of stamps to make a pretty background.I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment on vellum so that it didn't obscure the drinks! This was my second attempt. The first was too just stamp in black on pink but it looked much too dull so it got binned!

A Zentangled card.

It's Tuesday so time for the new chllenge at Cardz for Guyz.It was my turn to choose the theme and I went for Black and White only. This gave me the opporunity to use my new interest in Zentangle on a card.

I used a Uniko background stamp then filled the triangles in with Zentangles. It was a bit of a challenge to find ones to use that were small enough! But I have to say I'm quite pleased with the result. Since making it I have seen that Bev has done something similar here.

Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge

It's time for the first of the July challenges at Happy Little Stampers.

And here is my card.

I sponged Distress Oxide through a stencil and gave it a spritz with water. The cute bee is from a set by Your Next Stamp and he is also watercoloured with Distress Oxides. Since taking the photo I have added some WOS to his wings.

Rudolph Day in June

It's being a while since I made a Rudolph Day card, so I made this one in plenty of time! I've used more Uniko stamps, but have gone for the clean look.

I love this little Santa! I coloured him with red sparkle pens, although the sparkle is lost in the photo. I may well make a few more of these nearer the time.

Bam!

It's time for a new challenge at Make My Monday and the theme is "Something beginning with B" I'd just got a new set of stamps and dies from Uniko and was itching to use them so my card has veered away from the obvious butterflies, bees, birds etc.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and lots of bright colours.  Apart from the card blank, everything else was out of the snippets drawer so I'm hopping over to the Playground as well to see what's going on there! Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and see what the rest of the DT have made.

My Favourite Colour Combo

This is the new challenge at Cardz for Galz.I actually don't have a favourite colour combo as it all depends on my mood, time of year, what I'm making etc. Eventually I decided to go with a piece of paper that was on my desk and use that as my colour combo, navy and lilac.

The paper was from a kit from Simon says Stamp a couple of years ago, so I went rummaging and found the stamp set that went with it, unused of course! I stamped the flower and leaves and fussy cut them. The flower gem is from my stash and the sentiment is from the same stamp set.
